This one-room studio combines working and entertaining and aims to achieve sustainable design by using recycled material and furniture. Situated in the south side of Hong Kong Island, the design maximizes the exposure to daylight and the ocean view. The raw finish exterior wall and fair face brick partitions add texture to the space and also reduces use of construction material and wastage. The furniture selection mixes new and reused furniture and also blending Chinese antique and contemporary furniture. The plastic laminate dining table is also used as the artist‘s work top. A step ladder leads to the sleeping area above the toilet and pantry area.
